Bluetag Software released a Windows 8 version of the OPM Operating Status app. This app runs at startup and in the background and provides notifications on the tile and lock screen when OPM changes the operating status. I just submitted a new version of the iPhone OPM Status app. I changed the message to display the full details including the date of the status. I also added a badge number on the icon to show you if you have an unread status update.

The Apple Push Notification certificate for Fairfax County Alerts expired in March 2012 and was just renewed in June. Push notifications for this app are now working again. Thanks for your patience!

Bluetag Software just released the OPM Operating Status Android App to the Android Market. It should appear shortly. Please provide feedback!

Looks like users were not notified via Push Notification of the delay yesterday. This required a simple fix of shortening the message. I also added a “Badge” which puts a red number by the icon. That way if you miss the push notification, the badge will indicate there is a status change. Email me if you have any problems!

This week OPM changed the format of their Operating Status updates. Because of this, there were a few bugs in the new OPM Operating Status iPhone app, including formatting problems. This bugs are being addressed quickly and a fix has been added to the push notification, and a new version of the app has been submitted to Apple. Look for the updated version soon.
